Cups & Tournaments at the 4Players League
Beside the normal League- and Ladder-operations, tournaments are the great lifeline of a Online Gaming - League. Everyone is allowed to participate and has the chance to win or to compete with famous eSport-Athlets. In every offered 4Players league title you will find weekly tournaments and cups.
Although you don´t have to play only for some Fame. In the majority of our tournaments material- and money-prizes are onboard. Depending on the game, there are some different tournament-modes. From the classic K.O.-System called single-elemination to the often played double elemination-system with winner- and loser-bracket, where you still hold the chance to win after a loss.
To participate in a tournament, choose your game and click the flag "tournaments" on the landing page of the game. here you will find a overview of all actual or upcoming tournaments and the hall of fame. Let´s begin with the tournament details. After you have chosen a tournament you will see the overview-page with the core informations. To be earmarked as participant, click on the green "sign in" Button. The sign in is a provisional reservation, which shows us, how much players or teams propose to participate at this tournament. The applied tournament size (16/32/64 etc.) doesn´t matter at this point, because more players than planned can always sign in and we are able to lower or raise the tournament size.
The sign in phase closes 30 minutes before the tournament starts. Over a period of 10 minutes, the signed in players have the privilege to check in and get a slot in the tournament. It´s essential: “First come, first served”. If you act too slow, participating is not possible. After 10 minutes, the signed in, but not checked in players will be removed from the reservation list. In the last 20 minutes until the tournament starts, the sign in is reopened to dispose the last open slots in the tournament bracket. With a little bit of luck, you are now able to get hold of the remaining tournament slots. This second chance will only be provided if not all tournament slots are taken in the check in phase.
Fundamental tournament informations can be found at the flag "info & details". The flag "participants" shows all players or teams who are signed in. The flag "tournament tree" contains the exact time of every round and will show all encounters after the tournament has been started. If you are participating, all your encounters are marked in the tournament tree, see all details and join the match by clicking "vs".
By cklicking the flag "encounters" you will also find all upcoming tournament matches and the comments per match. Finally you will find all game or tournament specific Rules and the declarated prizes at the flag "set of rules". Use your Profile to see on which tournaments you have played until now.
