The following rules apply for all participants of the 4Players League and are binding. With registering at 4Player League you state that you have read and understood these rules and that you will follow them.
The 4Players League rule set will always be up to date. Please inform yourselves at the “Info & Details” section of each League, Ladder or Tournament, as well as reading the news of the game, to be informed of possible changes or exceptions. If you have any questions or ideas regarding the rules, please do not hesitate to contact the Staff via a support ticket.

1 General ^

These rules apply for the 4Players Liga Battlefield 3 Tournament. The administrators do have the rights to change or expand these rules at any given time. In individual cases and depending on given circumstances, the decisions by administrators may differ from the rules. These rights are established to keep up the fairness and the sportmanship. Furthermore the teams have to declare one person who will be online in the IRC during and 30 minutes after a match. Also the whole team has to check there private message box (PM) on a daily basis.

1.1 Player Accounts ^

To actively participate in a 4PL League, Ladder or Tournament you have to fulfill several criteria:

  • registered 4PL Account
  • your Battlefield 3 EA GUID entered under Game Accounts
  • our Anti Cheat Tool 4PL-Insight

Playing with players, who have an invalid game account, can result in a disqualification of the player/team.

1.1.1 Multiaccounts ^

Every participant is allowed to play and use only one 4PL Account. If a 4PL Account isn´t usable for any reason, the concerned player has to contact the 4PL-Staff via e-Mail (support@4pl.de). It´s not allowed to create a new account. Multi Accounts or the declaration of false data will result in penalty points and a Account barrage when indicated. If the participant likes to register a new Game Account, he is admitted to create a support ticket. A screenshot with the new Account is necessary. From this point on, former Accounts are not usable anymore. Old Accounts cannot be restored. A usage of old Accounts results in penalty points.

1.1.2 Gameaccounts ^

Every participant is allowed to play and use only one game Account per Game in the 4PL. To create a Battlefield 3 Gameaccount you need your Battlefield EA GUID. The Battlefield 3 EA ID can be found with the help of a game server and an admin tool, e.g.. Further information can be found in the FAQ. If a change is necessary, you need to open a support ticket with your new EA GUID and a screenshot of the admin tool. Restoring an old account is not possible. If you nevertheless play with an invalid Account, it will be punished after the penalty point catalogue “1.18 player assignment”.

1.2 Clan change of a team ^

The Team Account belongs to the person who registered it. Two examples: Player A from clan “1” registered team "X", and adds a new player to the team. Should the players of team “X” leave team „X“, the team will still belong at any given time to player A. Gained points and the Ladder position still belong to the team account of team “X”. Player B registers team “Y” and receives a request to join a clan with his team. Should team “Y” leave the clan a time later, all the gained points and the ladder positions still belong to team “Y” as they worked hard to get so far.

1.3 Non-apperance of the opponent ^

If a participant team doesn´t fully or not completely appear to the match start, a screenshot of the session, after an acceptable waiting time of 15 minutes, has to be made and a ticket has to be opened. The screenshot has to be taken before 20 minutes have passed the starting time of the battle and it has to include the 4Players Leauge website time. A Def-Win will be given then. Screenshots which are taken 20 minutes after the official battle start cannot be considered as a valid proof. Should a team not participate at a match during a current qualification cup, all points this teams earned so far will be erased and it will count as if the team dropped out after the first round of this qualification cup.

2 Server choice ^

In the tournaments it is only allowed to play on a 4Players League server, which will be provided by the 4PL.

2.1 Lose of connection during a battle ^

Should a participant, on purpose or not, lose the connection to the server, he or she has to join on the server by his own. The math will not be paused. If the player could not join the server till the end of the round, it is mandatory to take a 10 minutes break either at the end of this or at the beginning of the next round. Should the participant not join back during these set 10 minutes, the match can be carried on, with the team who lost the player getting in an exchange player or carrying on with low numbers.


2.2 Switching players ^

It is allowed to switch a player during a match, if following criteria are fulfilled:
The player who is joining the match after the swap has to have a valid Gameaccount, has to be registered in the team and has to be allowed to play.
After each round the team has the opportunity to switch players. This has to be signaled to the opponent team via In game chat. Players swaps can only take 10 minutes, before the new round starts.


2.3 Game interrupts ^

Should a game been interrupted by a server crash during a match and one, or more rounds were already played, these rounds do count and the current match has to be restarted. If the current match is the first round, the score of this round does not count and the match has to be restarted.


2.4 Leaving the server ^

Should a participant leave the server on purpose before the end of the game and does not return after 10 minutes, the game will be counted as aborted and it will be punished with penalty points. If a exchange player is available, this said player can enter the match after the current round is finished, the team has to finish this round with low numbers. If there isn’t any exchange player, it will count as a Def-Loss.


3 Match course (General) ^

The matches generally have to be played at the set date. If the opponent of the match is not yet known, although the actual match date is already pending, they must wait for the other team. If the previous match has ended, there must be a 15 minutes break before the next match begins. Only after this period, the match can start. Should this not be met, both teams threatened a penalty of one point.
If 4PL-Insight problems occur, the team has up to 10 minutes to fix it. Until the Deadline, 4PL-Insight is not running, the team will be disqualified.


3.1 Match ^

The match must be played on the specified maps. There are two rounds to played. Each team playing alternately on the side of the USA und the RU. After each round is a side change. After signaling „ready“ on either team, a restart is completed and will start the round. In Conquest mode the flags must not taken consecutively, the can be taken by an tactical sense.
In the infantry mode, vehicles ate not allowed and will be treated consistently with one penalty point for the player and team. The team which uses a vehicle, are complete with a Default Loss.

3.2 Match score ^

There are 2 rounds per match to play. The main reason for the victory, are the win rounds. Should each team won a round and it is 1:1, then count the team with the most ticket points and they get the extra point for 2:1. Otherwise, the match score with two winning rounds are 2:0. When disagreements about the result, there must be filed a protest within 15 minutes after the match and both teams must be ready to keep the screenshots of the rounds ends.


3.3 Matchmedia ^

The in game language is English. The screenshots and videos are also in English.


3.3.1 Matchmedia Screenshots ^

It is fundamental that both teams do upload an in game screenshot of each round in the match details. It is enough, if one team uploads them, but in the case of a complain, both teams have to have the screenshots. The insertion of a protest is invalid, if the in game screenshots are incomplete. In tournaments all needed in game screenshots have to be uploaded immediately in the match details after the end of the match, if this is not possible there is a timeframe of 5 minutes given. If the in game screenshots are not uploaded in this given time frame the according teams will get punished.


3.3.2 Matchmedia Records ^

For the detection of any violations of the rules can player use external applications (we recommend Fraps, Xsplit or DXTory) to record the match and forward these records to the Battlefield 3 Admin team. It should be noted that the programms MSI Afterburner and 3DGear are forbidden to record or stream. To prevent fraud and manipulations must be immediately after the start of the recording, there must be recorded on in game chat the date and match ID as a message.


3.4 Storing of game related data ^

All game related data, e.g. screenshots, records and so on, have to be stored as the original copy till 14 days after the match and have to be sent to the administrators if they ask for them. Screenshots have to be immediately uploaded to the 4PL website without any requests. Manipulating any game related data is forbidden. The game related data has to be named clearly.


3.5 Kick of an opponent player ^

It will be punished with 3 penalty points, should an opponent player been kicked from the server. The league administration will decide, depending on the case, if the whole or only a part of the match has to be replayed.

4.3 Server problems ^

Should during the round any server problems accrue, a backup server has to be found or another 4PL server, provided by 4Netplayers, has to be used. Should the game still not be playable on the backup server, another date can be arranged for the match.


5 Anti-Cheat ^

In 4Players Leauge matches, where 4PL Insight! is mandatory as an anti ceaht tool, every user has to make sure that he or she is using the tool during the whole match and that it is streaming all the data! Furthermore after each match the player has to control if said points were fulfilled or not. If, during this control, any problems appear, an immediate message has to be sent to the administration over the support ticket system. Does this not happen, penalty points or other punishments will be given. Belated objections will not be taken into account, regarding any punishment that was given.


6 Complains/ Forbidden actions ^

All unfair or game manipulating actions are forbidden. This includes cheating, exploiting glitches or bugs on a given map or in the game itself. If a bug is not listed here a 4PL administrator will decide, if that bug could decided the outcome of the game, if penalty points will be given, if the match has to be cancelled or replayed. If, during the game, any kind of problems accrue, the opponent team has to be notified immediately and after the match a detailed complain has to be posted. After a match, you have 15 minutes time to file a complain. Complains which are posted after the timeline are invalid. You can only file one protest for each match.

Forbidden actions:

  • The use of weapons with a Taclight is forbidden
  • The use of the IRNV is forbidden
  • The use of the MAV is forbidden
  • The use of the M320 is forbidden (Exception M320 with smoke)
  • The use of the L85A2 is forbidden
  • The use of the M26 is forbidden

7 Match correction at cheat detection^

If a participant gets caught cheating, all the scores he, and with his help his team, gained, from the time he played the match where he got caught till now, will be revised. The 4Players League keeps the rights to delete further matches’ as well.


8. Penalty Point Catalogue ^

If players in a league meet to play, it is mandatory to apply rules and consequences for breaking these rules. In our penalty point catalogue we list the frequent rule breaks and their consequences. That one bad move does not always follow a player everywhere he goes, the penalty points expire after a set amount of time. The maximum amount of penalty points a player or team can receive in one game is 6. The score of a match can get invalid, if the rule break had any influence to it.
